Refund Policy

Applies to: All courses and programs offered by Cardiff MED Institute and any external bodies or universities.

1. Registration Fees

  • The registration fee for all standard courses is PKR 10,000.

  • For Laparoscopy Programs and MSc programs, the admission/registration fee is PKR 25,000.

  • All registration and admission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances once paid.

2. Course Fee Payments

  • Students must submit their first installment at least one (1) week before the commencement of the course.
  • This allows the institute to dispatch study materials and complete registration formalities at the Cardiff MED head office.

3. Refund Eligibility for Course Fees

  • Before course commencement:
    • If a student has paid the first installment and decides not to continue, they may request a refund up to two (2) days before the course start date.

    • In this case, the first installment will be refunded in full.

  • After classes have started:

    • Once a student has attended the first class, the first installment becomes non-refundable.

  • Subsequent installments:

    • If a student has opted for a multi-installment plan and has paid the second or third installment, these installments are non-refundable once classes are attended or the student may freeze his or her session according to policy.

4. External Body Fees

  • Any fees related to external bodies or Exam Boards, such as:

    • Examination booking fees

    • Dataflow or documentation verification fees

    • International exam or registration fees

  • External body fees must be paid directly by the student via debit/credit card or bank transfer. These payments are non-refundable as they are governed by the respective external organizations.

5. Courier and Verification Fees

  • Any courier charges out of Pakistan (e.g., sending study material to students or documents abroad for verification to the USA, Canada, or other countries) will be borne by the student and are non-refundable.

6. Programs Affiliated with Foreign Universities / Bodies

  • For students admitted to foreign MSc or any Postgraduate Diploma programs through Cardiff MED, tuition and related fees may be paid directly to the Cardiff MED or Partner University or Body as per relevant policy.
  • In such cases, the refund policy of that respective university or institute will apply.

7. Session Freezing Policy

  • Students who have paid full fees or first installment but wish to defer their course may freeze their enrollment for up to three (3) upcoming sessions (six months) but only one time with documentation and approval process of the Academics Department.
  • The student may freeze their session within two weeks from the course start date. For example, if the course begins on the 1st of the month, they can freeze the session until the 15th of the month, subject to the official approval and documentation.
  • The student may rejoin any session within this period without additional registration fees.
  • If the student fails to rejoin within this timeframe, the registration will be cancelled, and no refund will be issued.
  • If the student has already attended any classes, the course fee will remain non-refundable.

8. Study Material Policy

  • If study materials have been dispatched but not used, the student may return them to the institute before the start of the class in case of course registration withdrawal.

  • If a student wants to withdraw before the start of the class and the materials have been used or accessed, a deduction will apply to cover material costs Estimated cost can be from 10% to 25% of the first installment.

  • Once the class has commenced and the student has attended the first session, the study material is non-returnable to the institute.

9. Demo Lectures and Orientation Classes

  • Cardiff MED Institute provides free demo lecture / orientation class for every course before the commencement of regular classes.

    • These can be accessed online via our official website or physically on campus.

  • Students are encouraged to take our demo lecture class to understand our teaching style, course content, and methodology.

  • Once a student registers and the course begins, no free or demo classes are available in that session, and regular refund rules apply.

10. General Terms

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Cardiff MED’s relevant branch or via the official email to the Academics Department with a filled refund form with sign.

  • Once a refund request is submitted by the student to the Academics Department, approval will take one week.

  • Refunds will be processed within estimated 30 working days after approval.

  • The institute reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, with prior notice to students.

  • Students may request a transfer to another course offered by Cardiff MED within the first two weeks of the course commencement.

  • If a student is enrolled in any MSc or Post Graduate Diploma through Cardiff MED with any Foreign University / Body / Institute then refund fee, session freeze and all other academic policies by that university or body or institute will be applied on the students.
